We've extended our weekend hours! New store hours are now:

Weekdays: 10am–8pm

Weekends: noon–6pm

Co-op workers are still wearing masks. Masks are optional for customers, but recommended. We're happy to provide you a mask for free!

Spinach pies, hot soup, and coffee are all back in full force! The upstairs café space is open for your enjoyment, but is not serving food at this time.

The Organic Open Mic

Thursday, March 23 at 7:30pm
Music, poetry, spoken word open mic at the George Street Co-op Café every Thursday. Signups start at 7:30pm or by contacting the hosts in advance. Performances start at 8:00pm. There’s no cover.

Earth Hour

Saturday, March 25 at 8:30pm
Earth Hour falls on the last Saturday in March, at “8:30pm local time, wherever you live on planet earth.” At this time, people throughout the world turn out the lights, expressing solidarity with the worldwide campaign to save energy and our environment. Fresh Produce comedy open mic

Sunday, March 26 at 7:30pm
Comedy open mic at the George Street Co-op Café, second and fourth Sundays of every month. Signups start at 7:30pm, performances start at 8:00pm. There’s no cover.

Board Game Tuesday at the Café!

All ages are welcome! Tuesdays from 7pm–10pm, come out and join everyone in a game of chess, checkers, backgammon, Scrabble, or Uno — or bring a different game with you to play! Join the Facebook group here.

Personnel Committee meeting

The Positive Potluck: Spring Edition

A peaceful and positive potluck gathering of friends! The potluck tradition is that everyone brings a little something, and together we’ll have a wonderful, varied feast. Please remember the Co-op is a vegetarian space. RSVP to the Facebook event here, ideally at least a day or two in advance.

Spring 2015 Referendum Results

The results of the latest membership referendum are in:
1. Members voted to give the Board of Directors the power to change the Co-op’s senior citizen discount policy.
2. Members voted to permit electronic voting in future referendum votes.
3. Members re-elected Marilynn Winston, Chad Hetman, and John Leary to continue serving on the Board of Directors.
